Baby pinball

We went on an outing to Padstow today and started with some decent Monmouth Coffee at Bin 2. Leo took the opportunity to point at everything in sight.

 We treated Leo to a special lunch at Rick Stein's Cafe. Leo took reading the menu very seriously and remained on his best behaviour.

Daddy and Leo have a new favourite game - baby pinball! Leo is getting quite good at it!

Leotube

Leo discovered a new toy today - Daddy's massage tube. Not only could he look through it but he could make funny noises too!

He also likes looking out of the big window onto the bay.

Sometimes he almost folds himself in half when he goes to sleep. Oh to be so flexible!

Leo read the menu at coffee time very carefully.

He got his first taste of a scone with some clotted cream this afternoon; I think we can safely say it was a hit..

Point Great

Leo is a very good pointer. It's not always clear what he's pointing at, but you can't fault him for enthusiasm. 

He enjoyed sticking his fist in Daddy's mouth and digging his nails in. Ben wasn't so sure..

Mummy's hot chocolate was almost as big as Leo!

Polzeath breath

Off to our Cornish holiday. Leo was pretty patient and enjoyed lasagne at the service station. 

To help with bathtime on holiday we saw the return of the duck!

And, less than 7 hours after leaving London, we arrived in Polzeath to be greeted by Granny and Grandpa. We went out for a walk on the cliffs before bathtime, with Leo cosy in his hoodie.

For some reason Leo decided wearing his bottle lid as a hat was absolutely hilarious today..

He enjoyed his playtime; he makes excited squeaks when we go in to his playroom and he sees his toys.

Adjusting

Poor Leo is a snotty jetlagged boy. He couldn't quite hold it together at breakfast time today.

He was very serious on the way to Sing and Sign but once unleashed on the class he found he had the energy of a hyperactive puppy.

Here's Leo in his new playroom - Daddy worke very hard on it while we were away and Leo loves it!

Pointer

Poor jetlagged Leo didn't know if he was coming or going today. He wasn't very sure what to do with his breakfast..

..but by lunchtime he was able to show off his new pointing skill

...and smile with Mummy.

Home is wherever I'm with you

Leo and I got back to London this afternoon. We're a bit shell shocked but very very happy to see Ben! Leo did very well on the flight; he refused to sleep in his baby chair (only Mummy's lap would do) but the other passengers and cabin crew commented on how good he was.

Little swimmer

This morning Leo went swimming with Grandma and Mummy. Leo was very confident and enjoyed playing with the pool toys and balls. This is him feeling tired afterwards (and wishing Daddy had been there too).

 After his swim Leo was very ready for his lunch in the Nordstrom Café. He managed to decorate the carpet with his discarded bits of food.

 Leo was a bit grizzly at dinner time (we suspect it's those pesky teeth) but as soon as he saw a camera pointed at him with a command to "smile" he struck a pose.
