Go West

Hinting at crawling..

Some grandparents at work:

We went out to West Seattle today to see Rich, Danielle and Makennah's lovely new home. We took a stroll down alongside Puget Sound, bathed in unseasonal sun.

Then Leo enjoyed Auntie Danielle wiggling his buggy all the way back up the hill.

And, finally, here's what someone had left on a rock on the water's edge. It's all you need, y'know

Hats on!

Leo needed some hats to cope with the sun in Seattle and Hawaii (and hopefully Britain when we get home). He absolutely loved trying them on in the mirror, giggling loudly, and he sulked when he had to go back in his pram.

Music and books

Leo was very keen to play with the guitar today and rolled as close as he could get. He enjoyed reading stories with Grandad before bedtime. Daddy has been under the weather today - we're hoping that he hasn't caught the same bug as Leo and that he's back to running bathtime soon.

Leo Zeppelin

Uncle Richard came over to play. Leo provided impressive rhythmic accompaniment to Stairway

Richard also took some great close-ups

Leo's been under the weather still, so getting him some sleep has been a priority. Daddy took a 90-minute podcast-accompanied stroll round and round the block for his first sleep, and he got to use Mummy's lap for his second.

Back to Zoka

First full day required a return to our favourite coffee shop, Zoka

Leo's not been feeling too good today - could be teething, a bug, jetlag, something else, or a combination of the above

So Daddy has been trying to make him feel better by nibbling his feet..

And happily, it seems to have helped

Finally, a little clip of Leo ruminating over coffee

Jetset Leo

Can you see the Leo? little yellow feet at hip height, and a blue hat leaning into Sarah's chest.

And here's what they look like from the front..

Wandering through the airport we found a play area where Leo could stretch his legs and play at pilot.

And here we are onboard. The cabin crew liked the chocolates Leo gave them so much that they gave his parents champagne!

Unfortunately he spent less time asleep than he did vomiting, getting through all three outfits and requiring us to try and dry out one set in case he did it again.

But finally we made it to the other end :-)

Funday Sunday

Daddy was responsible for breakfast this morning, with predictably messy results..

Leo enjoys knocking over towers of cups

And he did a spot of horsey on his mum's knees when she got back from her run

It's supposed to be Spring..

Leo woke up to heavy snow this morning - he was totally fascinated by it and spent ages looking out of the window.
Breakfast was porridge with pears - now a firm favourite. Leo is getting pretty good at drinking water from his sippy cup.

We went for lunch with Auntie Niki in Crystal Palace. Leo seemed pretty relaxed in his high chair..
