Fun and games.

Today was Leo's first Sing and Sign class. We weren't allowed to take pictures in the class, but he had a great time and this was his smile at the end!
It tired him out and he had a long sleep in his pram afterwards. When he woke up he found the sun was shining and there was lots to look at.

At dinner time Leo enjoyed playing his new game of throw the food on the floor.

Bathtime was more fun with stacking cups. Leo now has his bath in the bottom of the shower (instead of in the kitchen) because he was making such a watery mess!

Keeping Mum

It was a sad start to the day for Leo - after 5 weeks of sabbatical fun Daddy had to go back to work.
Fortunately there was lunch at the Blackbird Bakery to cheer him up.
Leo really enjoyed having his pram seat completely upright this afternoon so he could see everything that was going on. He enjoyed watching the cars and buses in Crystal Palace.

Then Mummy took Leo to the City Farm; he was captivated by the animals.

In Crystal Palace Park he enjoyed seeing all the birds - especially the baby geese.

A day with Mummy wasn't too bad after all.

Bugaboy

The last day of Daddy's sabbatical was nice and quiet, and Leo enjoyed being out in the spring breeze. Playing hats off never gets old!

Yoga-eater

Another quiet day as we continue our acclimatisation. Niki met us in the park and helped feed our hungry boy, here seen doing his yoga-eating.

He also did some good rolling about and he demonstrates here how all four limbs get put to use when playing.

Finally, one of him playing with his cups in the bath.

Who needs sleep?

Leo has been having some difficulty in adjusting back to British time! Last night he wanted to be up with an exhausted Mummy and Daddy until after 1am.. We finally made it up to Crystal Palace this afternoon for a much needed coffee.

Leo and Daddy had some cuddles. Leo is becoming increasingly playful. He decided he wanted to pull Daddy's ears; then he was copying Mummy patting on the sofa - he's clever enough to do exactly the same number of pats as Mummy.

Despite the weather getting a bit cooler today, Leo still couldn't wait to take his socks off.
Leo stole Mummy's glasses - another favourite game.

Happy flyer

Happily, it was a pretty straightforward flight for Leo, who slept for most of it and needed only one nappy-change and didn't mess up any of his clothes.

But today is very much jetlag day, and we tried to suck up as much daylight as possible. We got out to the garden of our favourite Crystal Palace eating spot, but Leo slept through lunch.

He had fun back home though, getting stuck into Roast Chicken flavour baby puree, and then showing off his sitting-up skills with some floor time.

A short blog and day today, as we're busy packing up for our departure and overnight flight back to London.

So here's Leo tackling Daddy's water bottle and taking the duck-watching fairly seriously.

Duplo-mat

Leo has become increasingly playful lately. He loves his Duplo and shape sorter, and moves around the rug a great speed towards whatever takes his fancy.

Raisin the stakes

Leo had a quiet day hanging out with Mummy and Grandma. Most of his prune and raisin breakfast ended up on his face.. He chewed Sophie La Giraffe for a while, and played with his toys on the floor.

Play it again, Leo

Today Ben and Leo had some fun playing Uncle Richard's guitar. Mum and Dad hosted a little party for Leo and his fans. Leo had fun eating his dinner with everyone around him. Uncle Richard took some great photos.

Run to me

Leo came out to support his parents in a 10K alongside Lake Washington (Sarah completed her first competitive run in 15 months in just over an hour, and Ben got a new PB of 43 minutes, 41 seconds). Danielle and Makennah were out running 5K on the same route.
Leo was happy in his buggy, with Bill, Alex and Richard looking after him.

Of course, he still enjoyed trying to remove his hat.
Now we've left Hawaii the cosy sheepskin is back on the buggy.
Leo had fun with his cousin after the race when we went for coffee.
Finally, Leo has started to sit up on his own, and here he is doing just that in his whale bath this evening.
