Some quickies

A Leo favourite is Daddy's water bottle...

And this is the look that Leo uses when he's making friends with strangers at the bus-stop

Punk'd

Daddy was running short of blog ideas after picking Leo up from nursery. So Leo got a new hairstyle for his blog fans.

And here's a couple of outtakes for purely / poorly artistic reasons

Peeker

We're back home in London so Leo picked his favourite activity for a sunny day - a trip to the park!
He was very confident on the bridge today!
He particularly liked peeking through the bars!

Sunny Dealight

It was our last day in East Kent and we have been pretty lucky with the weather, considering the time of year. Here's Leo pretending to be on a skiing holiday/
Leo's first selfie
More successful when done with Mummy's help..
It was a gorgeous little home that we stayed in. Leo had fun with such a big bookcase to pick books from. Here he is reading a Thomas the Tank Engine book on the 60s seats and then putting it back on the shelf.

Finally, back home and allowed to run riot in the playroom, including climbing on Daddy and pulling his nose.

Beach boy

Leo has been learning to dip bread in soup from Mummy and he excitedly squeals "dippy dippy dippy" when he does it. Today Leo decided to experiment with new flavours and tried out dipping orange into Weetabix. Dippy dippy dippy!

We explored up the east coast of Kent today. We began with lunch at a posh hotel in Sandwich, where Leo had his first roast beef and yorkshire pud dinner. Then we headed north to Botany Bay.

What's that?

Quick, to the shore!
I don't like the sand!

On second thoughts, I think I'd prefer to be carried atop some shoulders.

Expleoring Deal

There's always some time for some bed-wrestling before going out for the day.

It was a windy day in Deal so we wrapped up warm, but Daddy put Leo's hat on back-to-front...
With Leo on Mummy's back and free of a buggy, we were able to get over the pebbles and down to the water's edge today.
It's tiring work for a little Leo. Lucky he has such a cuddly back to curl up on.
Up again, and fun in front of Deal castle.
And Leo had a whole new house to explore too. Here's a sofa..
..must be time for some sofa-diving..
Finally, Leo delighted in climbing up and down the stairs (under Mummy's watchful eyes and hands). Night night Leo!

Good deal

Our long weekend holiday in Deal finally arrived and we were there by mid-morning. We started out walking along the promenade
And then we went out on the pier, where Leo stopped to inspect the sea below and listen to the waves lapping the shore.

And of course, there's always time to pose for a family photo

Befriender

It's nice when the sun shines during our wait for the bus to nursery. And with the shorter days, we're also getting the sunrise.

Leo is always trying to make new friends. This morning, he tried to befriend the early-teenage schoolboy we were pressed up against in the bus. He smiled, pointed and persisted until the boy took his shaker and shook it back at him, three times in the end. When the boy got off the bus he gave Leo a mini fist-bump! Another friend made..

Builder boy

When Daddy picked up Leo from nursery he found out where Leo apparently spends a lot of his time - sitting in the box of building blocks.
Of course, building was something that was a large part of Great Grandpa David's life and Leo was happy to pay his respects by trying on Great Grandpa David's flat cap.
