Big Day

Leo was the first to open the door to his new house.
He celebrated with a cupcake in his new room.
He thought that Daddy would enjoy the Mexican lunch, ice cream, and then a trip to a pet shop with resident cat (Mama Smoosh) and 6 rescue cats awaiting homes.
The afternoon ended with a trip to the park.

Seattle bound

Mummy and Leo headed out for an exciting trip to Seattle.
Here's Leo at Heathrow:

Cheeky bath

Leo enjoyed a FaceTime with Daddy during his bath.
Daddy got the cute face. Mummy got this :

Pulling a sickie.

Leo slept late this morning and was completely inconsolable when he was woken. He was so distressed that Mummy worried he was still struggling with last week's parvovirus and kept him at home (missing her course).
Turned out he just didn't want to go to nursery..

Not quite a cream tea

Leo's favourite meal this week is not a scone, clotted cream and jam. It's jam on cheese on toast..
He's been happy to be reunited with Popi

Harriet times

After not getting to see each other last weekend, Leo and Harriet got to meet again today on the way back to London. Luckily, Harriet had some Lego they could play with.
And there was also time for some football in the garden.

Pil-Leo-n rider

We did the 11 miles of the Padstow-Wadebridge-Padstow bike trail, and Leo has graduated from the trailer to riding just behind Daddy.
Still post-viral, there have been a lot of frowns and whines and tears and tantrums today / this week. But smiles too.

Watergate

A grumpy walk this morning with Daddy.
Fortunately there were smiles this afternoon for a trip to our old favourite - Jamie's Fifteen Cornwall. Leo was very excited to be going to a celebrity restaurant - he likes watching Jamie cooking on TV.
Leo amused himself throughout lunch with Lego..
..and pasta!
And ice cream!
Then down to the beach! Mummy had her kite!

Gorgeous blue skies

Lego love
More fun and cheekiness on the beach

And then down to the water's edge
And into the water (apparently Leo can't detect the cold)
Reminded me of one of my favourite songs, a song about fatherhood amongst other things, sung here with Neil Finn.

Trouserless in Polzeath

The Padstow ferry
This new jumper from Padstow is sooooo soft!
Then early evening sandcastle-building
Then he took his trousers off because they got a bit wet and it descended into chasing Mummy with his spadeful of sand
He refused to put his trousers back on for the walk home, a look which made his parents laugh..

80%

Leo is on his way back to himself, and did some good creative play making Mummy and Daddy milkshakes in the Mowhay Cafe playhouse.
Here's Leo!
But by mid-afternoon he was out for a long nap. And he could only be consoled on waking by an ice lolly overlooking the ocean (though much more interested in the lolly).
