Jetty Island

Beach picnic north of Seattle today on Jetty Island.
Danielle buried Leo, with bossy direction - "use the bucket and spade"
Can you see what it is yet?
Leo the merboy
Leo returned the favour
Leo got to play not just with Isobel, but also with June

Later we went for a coffee walk near home and Leo went for a run

Westside

A trip to West Seattle to Rich, Danielle, Makennah and Isobel's. Leo was ready for paddling.
Makennah painted his nails..
..hands and feet
Then it was off to the paddling pool over the road in Lincoln Park, holding Grandma's hand.
Isobel won prize for best swimsuit
Makennah and Daddy tried to play football
And Leo poured his bucket on Daddy
And then back for a BBQ and a lolly desert

Ducktruck

This morning, we went in the wrong entrance to the mall which meant Leo saw the Lego store straight away.
This afternoon, we all went on the Seattle Duck tour, which takes you through the city
and into Lake Union for a great view of downtown
Leo did well amusing himself for the long tour
He really loved playing with Isobel and they shared a goodbye nuzzle
When we got home, Leo went to collect the mail with Grandad.

Sweeping and gazing

Mummy and Daddy returned after their 24-hour date to find that Leo had had a great time. He was excited to have us back and, after helping with the supermarket shopping sweep..
..he ended up tearing around the place.
He found a tractor to sit on
And before bedtime, he did a spot of stargazing with Mummy and Grandad

Shoe removal

Mummy and Daddy are off for a night away this afternoon, so a quick blog from the morning where Leo was learning about the need to undo laces before you could get a Daddy to wrestle without shoes.

More Iso-time

Leo has been asking for Isobel and we met up in the Arboretum.
Where we found a little playground
A mutual admiration society

Welcome to Bainbridge

Today, we went to explore for the first time the island we've been imagining as our next home, and we weren't disappointed.
It was a good day for a ferry ride and the Seattle skyline looked great as we set off (Leo still waking up from his nap)
A day of ice cream..
..and sun and hats
Daddy's camera couldn't do justice the the clear view of Mount Rainier (above Leo and Mummy's head) on the way back
Invited to choose a toy to bring home, Leo plumped for that most cuddly of animals, the seagull.
