Little swimmer

There was time for a swim before leaving the resort. He loves it and it's definitely time for swimming lessons.
Round and round the swimming pool, like a Leo bear: http://youtu.be/FLf9vXfExQU

Look at me

Look at my new swimming shorts
And look how tall I can make myself
Look at me driving
Look at my evil expression
Look at me eating my lolly
And finally, look at me in some more ladies' shoes..
Bye bye Leo!

Smitten with mittens?

Out early to try out swimming at Beckenham Spa for the first time. Like Mummy and Daddy, Leo thought this was the best London pool so far (but not as good as the one at our Hawaiian condo of course!)

It was pretty cold outside so we managed to convince Leo to don his mittens.
He tolerated them.

Keeping cool

Mummy and Leo went swimming at Crystal Palace today. Leo had a fantastic time; there were lots of pool toys to play with and he didn't mind getting his curls wet.

He enjoyed getting the overground train - here he is at the station. Watching the trains go past makes him squeal.
Mummy gave him at satsuma to snack on during the train ride home; for some reason he thought it was best to stick the piece on his toe.
Leo's big triumph of the day was figuring out how to pull his Duplo bricks apart. He was SO excited by this discovery!

He's still trying to figure out how to put them together..wrong way up Leo!
Happy boy at bath time!

Little swimmer

This morning Leo went swimming with Grandma and Mummy. Leo was very confident and enjoyed playing with the pool toys and balls. This is him feeling tired afterwards (and wishing Daddy had been there too).
After his swim Leo was very ready for his lunch in the Nordstrom CafĂ©. He managed to decorate the carpet with his discarded bits of food.
Leo was a bit grizzly at dinner time (we suspect it's those pesky teeth) but as soon as he saw a camera pointed at him with a command to "smile" he struck a pose.

Sockless days and ocean toes

Today started off in the pool again. Leo is getting really confident in the water now - it's lovely to see him so excited.

We drove inland to Waikoloa Village for some groceries and coffee. Leo continues to enjoy his sockless life.
In the afternoon we loaded up the Jeep for another trip to Hapuna Beach.
Leo is getting ready to crawl pretty soon!
Leo is finally enjoying getting his toes wet in the ocean - as long as Daddy
is by his side.

It's a serious business, this family holiday, says Leo.

Another watery day

Leo enjoys his morning dip. It was his first time hanging out on Daddy's shoulders (it feels safer in a pool). We also got an shot of him swimming underwater on the waterproof camera from Auntie Niki (to be developed old-style when we get home)

And back to our favourite beach,

but this time with the addition of Leo's bouncer, which made for a much easier time for all.

It wasn't just Ben who took to the waves today. Yes, that is Sarah coming towards Leo and Ben, faster than a speeding bullet.

Ain't she just the prettiest?

Whatever floats your boat

This morning we went on an amazing 4-hour boat trip where we got to swim with dozens of wild dolphins off the coast. Or rather, we snorkeled along and they swam around, underneath and alongside us. It was a wonderful experience and lovely to be out on the water.

In the afternoon we went for a walk around the resort, which included the lagoon at the Hilton where we saw this magnificent sea turtle.

Then we stopped for a refreshing drink. Leo is not too shy to stretch out in whichever way he finds comfortable.

Finally, a dip back at the condo pool. Leo is just getting more and more relaxed in the water, which is lovely to see.
