Ok Leo!

Leo revealed today that he can read! He saw the word 'OK' and read "O-K - ok!!!". Not the longest word, but a good start for a small boy!
Leo requested a trip to "big Sainsbury's" but it was less exciting than he'd hoped. He's not asleep - just refusing to have his photo taken.
He soon cheered up when Mummy suggested stopping in at Costa for his new favourite thing - a mince pie!

Going for the chop

Leo was in a fiesty mood this morning and marched off to the library himself.
He was soon up for a snuggle on the bus!
This afternoon Leo had his very first haircut! Here he is getting settled in to the salon.
He got to sit in a Thomas chair with an iPad playing Thomas!
The curls remain! It was just a trim!
Mummy had to drag Leo out of the shop!
Leo got a framed certificate with before and after pictures and a lock of hair!

Leo, Leo, quite contrary

First taste of apple juice..
Hmm.. What is this?
I'll try it..
 Ooooh!
 Happy boy in the sunshine.
Hmm. Mummy said I need my welly boots on if I want to jump in a puddle..
 Tempting..
I wonder if this is "in a puddle"?
 Here I go!

Little shopper

This week Leo has started putting 3 words together! "Raisins all gone" and "Daddy hat on" were some of his first efforts!
This morning was a trip to the Horniman; unfortunately Mummy hadn't checked the opening hours so only the gardens were available to explore. Leo still had fun playing on the musical sculptures!

Here he is pointing to a plane. "Plane!!!!!"
This afternoon Mummy look Leo into the supermarket without the pram! Here he is trying to help choose cat food! (If you look closely you can see his new shoes - he's outgrown his last pair again!)
 This pack Mummy?
I'll put it in the basket anyway..
In fact I'll just keep pulling them all off the shelves!

The language of Leo

Leo has quite the vocabulary these days :
Daddy, Mummy, pasta, more, pear, milk, toast, nose, happy, play, gentle, bus, water, cheese!

Leo went shopping in Dulwich Village for his first pair of proper shoes today. This was his face when shown the selection!
He chose the fanciest pair in his size - bright blue German leather lace up ankle boots. He thinks his love of good shoes has been passed down through his Mummy and Grandma.
Leo has been spending a lot of time walking in circles around his garage! He's very glad to have his shoes so he can walk outside!

Leo-nardo Da Vinci

Nursery commented that Leo didn't seem very hungry today. There was no evidence of a poor appetite once he got home! Leo's new fascination was pouring water from his beaker into his dinner.

Leo brought home his very first piece of artwork today! Technically it might be called 'mark making' but Mummy was very proud!

First day

Today was Leo's first morning alone at nursery! He managed very well - but all the excitement tired him out!

Fortunately his still found some energy for a good play with Mummy.

Today Leo is 11 months old!

You've got to learn to stand before you can walk

Mummy and Leo went to visit baby Eva in Oval today. Leo stood at the train window all the way from Sydenham to Balham.

He was very interested in all the tube station action.
Leo threw his plate on the floor at dinner time and got very cross with himself.
After dinner Leo stood without any support for the first time!
