It was a long, exhausting day emptying the flat. Leo was pretty patient and deserved some down time on the front lawn with his parents

With an empty flat, we headed to our Airbnb, where Leo admired the patio. 

Party time!

Today was Leo's birthday party with his friends. We held it at the local children's centre - the indoor soft play and Avengers cake were big hits!

More Maya

Leo requested a play date with Maya at 8am. Luckily she was free to hang out with him.

Leo helped take Maxi to the vet this morning for his vaccinations.

It was 35 degrees this afternoon so Leo got to go bowling for the first time (air con!).

They had arcade games too..

Leo met his friend Maya at South Norwood Lakes for some play and musical storytelling.

They were captivated.

Bye bye Teddies

Today was another landmark - Leo's last day at his nursery, Teddies, after 3 years and 3 weeks. He was very excited to take in a cake and card to thank the staff. 

They gave us his development books they had kept during his nursery career - a little book and then one for each of the rooms he's been in, each with a mugshot on the front.

We met up with Uncle David, Aunty Fiona and Gordon, Duncan and Ewan for lunch.

And then a wander to a Brixton playground.

The little sister of Leo's friend Maya had her first birthday party, and Leo joined the festivities. 

He spent ages perfecting his hula hoop technique

Movers

The moving crew came today and packed up all of Leo's toys to take to Seattle. Leo was quite upset by it all, but was cheered up by a new small Lego set (note theme emerging here..). 

In the wars

Mummy and Leo fell over on the way to the dentist and poor Leo split his lip

He was cheered up with Lego and Minion plaster-taches 

And, by the evening, it was already healing and forgotten
