Thank Leo It's Friday

Leo doing some people-spotting on the train, and then giving Sarah a smile when he woke up later.

Pear puree on a spoon was a hit for breakfast.
And, despite the arched eyebrows, eggy bread was too.

Sarah got to go for a well-deserved haircut, so Ben tried to feed Leo, with limited success..

Nom, nom, nom

Today Leo enjoyed banana and orange for his breakfast. Most of it ended up mushed into his tray but he's having fun.

Leo was put down for his nap at the other end of his cot - I went in a few minutes later to check on him and he'd managed to get up to the top to visit his elephant mobile in his sleeping bag..not sure how..
This is Leo and his friend Hector. We met Hector and baby Ruby for singing at the Library in Crystal Palace, followed by Film Club. Leo tried some tomato for his lunch which made him pull funny faces.

More adventures in food

Poor little Leo has a pretty snotty nose at the moment and hasn't been quite himself. He still managed to find plenty of enthusiasm for his breakfast of eggy bread and cucumber however!

He managed a 2h 35 minute mega-nap this afternoon and felt much better, as demonstrated by his bouncer dancing.

More Southbank

Leo and I had a lunch date with his buddies Luka and Arthur at Shad Thames; since we were in the neighbourhood we went to meet Ben for coffee first. Leo was very happy and excited to see his Daddy.

He enjoys getting out and about in his cosy pram.

Leo is getting quite big for his baby gym these days - he likes wrestling with it!

Today Leo discovered eating watermelon and mango - he really enjoyed both of them. Foods that he can suck juice out of are the biggest hit.

Southbank

Leo has been learning some new sleep habits over the past week - we've realised he's now big enough and clever enough to learn that night time should be for sleeping.. This has resulted in some odd sleep happenings; this morning his first 35 minute nap morphed into an 80 minute mega-nap. He looked pretty refreshed at the end!

It was a gorgeous sunny day so we decided to take a walk from London Bridge to Waterloo and back. Leo mostly snoozed..

At lunch time Leo discovered some new superfoods.
Old friend cucumber

New friend avocado

Mmm brocolli!
A pretty exciting day for the new eater!

The food fight continues

Today Ben and I took Leo for his weekly swimming session in Forest Hill. He can now do half an hour in the pool in his wetsuit (from 15 minutes in January). He likes swimming under water, being dunked, 'jumping' in from the side, chasing his Daddy, and splashing his hands and feet.

He'd worked up quite an appetite when we got home, and tried some cucumber, pear and cheddar cheese for lunch.

26 weeks old today - banana time!

26 weeks old today

Today was Leo's first taste of solid food. Ben and I went to Domali in Crystal Palace, and Leo sat up in a high chair and tried some banana..and then a potato from Daddy's lunch.

Oooh banana!
Banana all over my face

Hmm this is weird!
Nom nom!

Very proud of himself!
The camera-lady was laughing so hard that Leo's face isn't always in shot!
