Still under the weather

Still not looking his best
so off to the GP
His red ears and throat confirmed that it is some kind of viral infection but we don't need to use the prescribed antibiotics unless it gets worse.  Leo was very good and said "bye bye doctor" when we left.

It wasn't all bad today though - here are the boys at melon o'clock

Sick day

Leo had a temperature overnight and still wasn't himself this morning so Daddy aborted the nursery dropoff and took Leo back home.

We ventured down to Penge for something different and found a new playground. The horse was very popular.
Coming to get you!
We even explored Penge High Street, and found a moving plane to climb aboard.
Not impressed, he got off before the ride had finished
After his nap, his raised temperature was back so Daddy and Leo spent a lot of the afternoon curled up on the sofa with Thomas, Peppa Pig and lollipops.
He was happy to have Mummy home and hopefully his temperature will stay down overnight.

It's all a puzzle to Leo

Leo spent the last hour of the night snuggled up with Mummy- he was so comfy Mummy even had to wake him up this morning!
We had to be out on time for Mummy to get the car to the garage for the MOT. Leo was transfixed by the action of the garage!
He didn't want to go to playgroup - he wanted to stay and watch!
It was a sunny afternoon - Leo was glad to have his new shades!
He's getting very good at puzzles! Here he is tackling an age 3+ Thomas puzzle (cheese in hand).

Too cool for playgroup..

Leo spent most of playgroup washing the dolls today..
Of course he saved some time for the police car!
Leo got himself some sunglasses in the RSPCA shop. He thought he was very cool..

Fairground attraction

This afternoon, we went to a steam fair with engines and rides reminiscient of our wedding three years ago this weekend. It took Leo a while to take it all in.
He saw his first dodgems
Took a train ride with Mummy
And then got to drive his own car!
He loved it! More more more! was the cry when the ride ended. You can see him in action here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLw4DEyivKw

We finished riding horses on a lovely old carousel
It was a successful outing!

Little chef

Here's Leo studying emergency vehicles in his latest book acquisition.
He got tired walking home and decided that Daddy could do all the work.
After nap time Leo changed into his new t-shirt. Shortly afterwards he poured a big jug of water all over himself..
More reading with Daddy this afternoon - this time about trucks.
Leo made Rice Krispie treats with Mummy!
Then he attacked Mummy with his chocolate covered mixing spoon!
..and his chocolate covered hands!
He actually didn't like his creations very much in the end.
Tickles with Mummy before bath time.
