Leo is changing every day! He's up on his hands and knees rocking, and throwing himself forward. Crawling can't be far off! Today was the first time Leo initiated games with us, playing peekaboo with everybody. He hid his face against his bouncer or the sofa, and then looked back at us laughing.

The boy is back in town
We're back in Seattle today, and very happy to be here after our long day of travel yesterday. We all had a lie-in this morning, followed by a Zoka coffee and a trip to the mall. Leo is a bit jet-lagged and not sure if he is coming or going.

You say goodbye, I say Aloha
Today was all about travelling back to Seattle. We left our condo at 8am, got diverted to Honolulu because of a faulty plane part, and finally got back to Seattle on a second plane at 1am local time.
Here we are
- ready to leave Kona airport
- stretching legs in Honolulu airport
- stretching legs in the back of the plane home

We had a whale of a time
Today was our last full day. The condo we rented was only available for the first 11 of our 12 nights, so tonight we're in another condo owned by the complex. They arranged it so we could just move in next door.
The new place is bigger but we liked the original one best. Here's the view in our first condo from the bedroom door down into the lounge with its double-height ceiling.
The carpet for Leo to roll around on was something else we liked about the first place.
But at least the new place has a super-duper one-and-a-half-person lounging chair.
After a stressful morning of moving, we decided to head back to Hapuna Beach for one last time. Leo had fun eating his hat.
It was a cloudy afternoon, but who needs sunshine when you can watch Humpback whales spraying and diving from your deck chair or boogie board? They're just leaving Hawaii for Alaska. We couldn't get a shot of them on camera so you'll have to imagine!
The sun came out just before we left - big smiles all around.

Bits and bobs
There haven't been many photos of Leo eating recently, so here he is shortly after trying to inhale his porridge this morning.
The geckos here are a lovely bright green, with lighter bellies and touches of red. Also, they hang around long enough for you to get a good look (if not a great photo).
Leo often wakes up in a good mood. You can see here the sheet marks and the spot that he was leaning on in his sleep a minute earlier.
And here's the view from under the parasol at our favourite beach

Sockless days and ocean toes
Today started off in the pool again. Leo is getting really confident in the water now - it's lovely to see him so excited.
We drove inland to Waikoloa Village for some groceries and coffee. Leo continues to enjoy his sockless life.
In the afternoon we loaded up the Jeep for another trip to Hapuna Beach.
Leo is getting ready to crawl pretty soon!
Leo is finally enjoying getting his toes wet in the ocean - as long as Daddy
is by his side.
It's a serious business, this family holiday, says Leo.

Another watery day
Leo enjoys his morning dip. It was his first time hanging out on Daddy's shoulders (it feels safer in a pool). We also got an shot of him swimming underwater on the waterproof camera from Auntie Niki (to be developed old-style when we get home)
And back to our favourite beach,
but this time with the addition of Leo's bouncer, which made for a much easier time for all.
It wasn't just Ben who took to the waves today. Yes, that is Sarah coming towards Leo and Ben, faster than a speeding bullet.
Ain't she just the prettiest?
