Just a quickie

Leo has no problems waiting for the bus to nursery - he just checks out the traffic

Stand by me

Today Leo went for a Sydenham lunch with the Chartridge Wallises and Granny and Grandpa. 

Leo seemed to get bored of standing up a few weeks ago, but he's started again, and so maybe walking's not so far off after all. I thought he looked really grown up perched against the wall.

And he finished playtime by climbing on and off Mummy's shoulders.

Duplexity

Leo started dancing and clapping to Daddy playing guitar. Mummy joined in too.

When we were out we tried Leo facing forward (rather than at us) in his Bugaboo. He enjoyed the front-facing view.

Leo loves you to create something with the Duplo...so that he can take it all apart again! 

Daddy was very proud of his diving tower and mini diving pool, but its demise was inevitable.

Spaghetti hair

Leo spent most of the day playing with his growing Duplo collection. He particularly likes taking all of the bits apart after Mummy has put them together..

 Leo was determined to eat his spaghetti bolognaise all by himself - he did very well but needed his hair washed afterwards!

Toy boy

Mummy managed to scoop Leo up from nursery, give him his tea and have time for a play this evening! Leo is enjoying his Duplo.

 And his Brio..

And hanging out with Mummy!

 As usual the best bit was bathtime!

It's chili time!

Daddy is away in Latvia for a few days so Leo is looking after Mummy. He manage to eat his spicy chili all by himself this evening.

Then Leo had to scrub all of the chili off his face at bathtime!

Leo fresco

Today it was sunny and Mummy and Leo were able to eat al fresco in Crystal Palace. Despite the apparent expression, Leo had a great time..

He especially enjoyed mixing the hummus up with the pieces of fruit for some exotic marrying of flavours.

A current favourite is apples. Here he is with one which has been well worked over.

And a landscape to finish - one of the Crystal Palace park 'lakes' seen on the way home.

Kiss-attacks

Leo had a very long day at nursery but when he got picked up by Mummy and Daddy just before nursery closed he was in a great mood, sitting in a box of course.

There was still time for some dinner when he got home, interrupted by a Daddy kiss-attack.

We've been gradually introducing Leo's lovely birthday presents so he doesn't get too overwhelmed! Here he is enjoying sitting on his big red bus.

 And pressing the button so he can make the music play!

 Leo's favourite 'toy' at the moment is his toy box! He just loves climbing in and out. Unfortunately he keeps getting stuck..

After lunch we went to the soft play area and Leo particularly liked getting in and out of the police car. 

We also enjoyed doubling up on the plastic rocking horse. 

 

Keeping the doctor away

Leo has discovered the excitement of eating a whole apple! He spent more than an hour nibbling away at this one this afternoon, and it seemed to cure his morning grumpiness.

 At dinner time Leo got more food in his hair than he did in his mouth..

 He also got a lot on his tray..

 Daddy came home and got a good battering with the squeaky lion. It must be the weekend!

Dairy goatee

Leo is getting really pretty good at feeding himself - and he objects loudly if anyone tries to help him! He's also not bad at creating yoghurt goatees..

Leo also wanted to make sure Daddy had plenty to eat..

Kisses

When he's in the mood, Leo loves to give kisses. To be precised he loves to give big, fat, drooly, open mouthed kisses, usually topped off with a smear of snot.

This evening it was kisses for monkey..

Then kisses for Ewan the Dream Sheep..

Then kisses for Mummy!

Happy days!

Play date

Leo and Mummy get to hang out on Tuesdays! Hurrah!

 Leo wanted to check out Crystal Palace's new soft play place. He dove straight in to the ball pool and impressed Mummy with his ability to climb in and out of it all by himself.

He spent lots of time on the rocking horse..

 But his favourite was sliding down the bouncy castle which made him do big belly laughs!

 Leo had worked up quite an appetite playing so Mummy treated him to lunch at Domali's - he was pretty pleased with his cheese on toast!

At dinner time Leo wanted to feed himself his yoghurt - and have a face mask!
